Raymond G. Pate, DMD

Dr. Raymond Pate was born and raised in central Florida. He is married to his wife Stephanie and has two sons, Brock and Drew.
Dr. Pate founded Catawba Valley Dental in September 2001. Since his graduation from The University of Florida (Go Gators), Dr. Pate has had the opportunity to be involved in numerous clinical settings alongside various doctors in Taylorsville, Morganton, Boone, North Wilkesboro, and Hickory. He served as an Associate Clinical Faculty at UNC and is currently serving on the advisory committee at CVCC. Each of these experiences has been beneficial in helping to shape his philosophy about dental treatment.
Dr. Pate is a member of the NCDS, Western Piedmont Dental Society (He is a past President), and also the LDS Academy of Dentistry. He has been on various mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua and also given time locally to Give Kids A Smile, The Dental Bus, and the Mission of Mercy Clinic where he gives his time and expertise to help many throughout various communities. He enjoys all types of dentistry with a particular interest in surgery and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Pate has been providing high-quality dental care in Catawba Valley since 2001. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. Dr. Pate then attended the University of Florida Dental School. When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Dr. Pate likes to listen to music and spend time outdoors. His favorite thing about being a dentist is helping to change patients’ lives. When he was younger, he knew he wanted to work in health care and found that the dental industry was the perfect fit.
Jace Yeoman, DDS

Born and raised in North Carolina, Dr. Jace Yeoman is passionate about providing high-quality dental care and fostering lasting relationships with his patients. Known for his approachable demeanor and attention to detail, he is dedicated to helping individuals achieve healthy, confident smiles in a welcoming environment. Dr. Yeoman earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from BYU before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. With a strong foundation in general dentistry, he brings a comprehensive and patient-focused approach to oral healthcare. During his final semester of dental school, Dr. Yeoman completed an externship at the MAHEC Dental Clinic in Asheville, where he enhanced his clinical expertise and commitment to serving the community. As an AROWS scholar, he has demonstrated dedication to advancing rural oral health initiatives and improving access to dental care. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Yeoman takes pride in connecting with a diverse patient population and ensuring every individual feels comfortable and understood. He is thrilled to be working alongside Dr. Pate, his uncle and childhood dentist, at Catawba Valley Dental, where he looks forward to building meaningful patient relationships and providing exceptional care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Yeoman values spending quality time with his wife, whom he married in 2018, and their young daughter. In his free time, he enjoys staying active and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
