Raymond G. Pate, DMD
Dr. Raymond Pate was born and raised in central Florida. He is married to his wife Stephanie and has two sons, Brock and Drew.
Dr. Pate founded Catawba Valley Dental in September 2001. Since his graduation from The University of Florida (Go Gators), Dr. Pate has had the opportunity to be involved in numerous clinical settings alongside various doctors in Taylorsville, Morganton, Boone, North Wilkesboro, and Hickory. He served as an Associate Clinical Faculty at UNC and is currently serving on the advisory committee at CVCC. Each of these experiences has been beneficial in helping to shape his philosophy about dental treatment.
Dr. Pate is a member of the NCDS, Western Piedmont Dental Society (He is a past President), and also the LDS Academy of Dentistry. He has been on various mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua and also given time locally to Give Kids A Smile, The Dental Bus, and the Mission of Mercy Clinic where he gives his time and expertise to help many throughout various communities. He enjoys all types of dentistry with a particular interest in surgery and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Pate has been providing high-quality dental care in Catawba Valley since 2001. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. Dr. Pate then attended the University of Florida Dental School. When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Dr. Pate likes to listen to music and spend time outdoors. His favorite thing about being a dentist is helping to change patients’ lives. When he was younger, he knew he wanted to work in health care and found that the dental industry was the perfect fit.
