

Janice, Registered Dental Hygienist
Janice became part of the Catawba Valley Dental team in 2005. Born and raised in Huntington, WV, she received her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1988. After graduation, she moved to Hilton Head, SC where she lived and worked for 16 years. In 2004, Janice moved to Hickory, NC with her family. If you ask Janice what her favorite thing is about working at Catawba Valley Dental, she would tell you it’s caring for the patients. She is proud of the gentle, yet comprehensive, care she provides and the relationships she forms with her patients- especially those who fear the dentist. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her children and her bestest fur baby, Tucker. Her favorite places to visit are the mountains and the beach.

Patsy, Registered Dental Hygienist
Patsy has worked at Catawba Valley Dental since 2002. She studied Dental Hygiene at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a die-hard Tar Heel fan. She partially retired in 2022 but continues to work one day a week providing quality dental care to her patients. She enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and seven grandchildren. Patsy also enjoys reading, playing bridge, volunteering at the Wig Bank in Caldwell County, scrapbooking and traveling. She credits her love of dentistry to her father, Charles R. House, who owned and operated the Lenoir Rhyne Dental lab for many years.

Tonia, Certified Dental Assistant
Tonia has worked at Catawba Valley Dental since 2003. She earned her Dental Assistant certification at Western Piedmont Community College. Tonia enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, 11 grandchildren and 3 dogs. Tonia also enjoys camping, going to the beach and traveling. She loves spending time with friends, family, and her dogs. As a child she enjoyed going to the dentist and she knew she wanted to work in the dental field. Her favorite thing about her job is seeing patients smile.

Carrie – Dental Assistant and Front Desk
Carrie has worked at Catawba Valley Dental since 2007. She began her career in dentistry in 1989. For over 30 years she worked as a chairside dental assistant and has now transitioned to our front desk. In addition to baking, Carrie enjoys spending time with her children and loving on her beagle, Millie. If she didn’t work in dentistry, she would want to work as a trauma nurse. Her favorite thing about dentistry is seeing the smiles on patients’ that haven’t had the confidence to smile, knowing we have changed someone’s life.

Alexis (Lexi) – Dental Assistant
Lexi has worked at Catawba Valley since 2016. She attended Catawba Valley Community College. She is the OSHA coordinator. Lexi loves spending time with her husband, son and furbaby. During summertime you can find Lexi by the pool. She loves ranch and likes to have good time everyday at work.

Andrea – Dental Assistant, Supply Clerk, and Maintenance Expert
Andrea has worked in dentistry since 1984. She started out in Orthodontics for ten years, then switched to General Dentistry. She has certificates in Dental Radiology and Medical Office Assistance through CVCC, Radio Visio Graphy (digital x-rays) through Trophy Inc. and Coronal Tooth Polishing through UNC Chapel Hill. Andrea has been with Catawba Valley Dental since 2001. She has four children and two grandchildren. She was raised in Burke County where she still resides today.

Danielle – Front Desk
Danielle started working in dentistry in 1993. She has worked at Catawba Valley Dental since 2001. Although she works front desk now, she is a DAII and dental radiology certified. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 boys, shopping, crafting and planting flowers.

Jordan, Register Dental Hygienist
Jordan joined Catawba Valley Dental in 2024 although she has helped out in the past. She graduated from Catawba Valley Community College in 2014 with her Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her daughter, Taryn, and husband, Chris. She loves to work in the yard and play with her dog, Puddin. Her other pets include 2 cats, Ronin and Stella, chickens and Guinea Pigs. She also enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. Her interest in the dental field came at a young age from orthodontics and dental anatomy. Jordan loves helping people keep their smile bright and happy.
